"Isn’t it funny how the memories you cherish before a breakup can become your worst enemies afterwards? The thoughts you loved to think about, the memories you wanted to hold up to the light and view from every angle—it suddenly seems a lot safer to lock them in a box, far from the light of day and throw away the key. It’s not an act of bitterness. It’s an act of self-preservation."

-Ally Condie, First Day (via simply-quotes)

brb drowning myself in the toilet

I once had a customer ask me how many pieces come in a six piece mozzarella stick. Then another ask me what kind of cheese comes in the mozzarella sticks.

a customer once asked me to void his transaction and then got angry at me when I cancelled his order.

Most of the time, I think Social Darwinism is a nefarious and unethical practice. But, sometimes…

I’m dying on the inside. Also this is why I don’t work in retail or good service anymore.

i worked in a hardware store and one day a man walked in and asked if we sold tools
